Welcome to the Scholarship Committee!
OPAA is run completely by
volunteers. If you would be interested in serving on the
following committee, please click on the link below to contact the
chairperson.
We welcome your participation!

- The Committee shall solicit
donations from the community for the Scholarship Fund.
The funds raised will be used to provide individual
scholarships for baseball, softball, football and
cheerleading players who would otherwise be financially
unable to participate.

- Scholarships will be awarded in
accordance with the following guidelines:
a.
The scholarship applicant must submit proof of need,
such as required by food stamps or public assistance.
b. Scholarship candidates must be recommended by
the Association, the candidate's church or school, or by
contributing service organization. c.
Scholarship candidates must be a joint approval by the
President and/or the Coordinator and/or the Chair of the
Scholarship Committee. d. A scholarship grant
should be viewed as an honor. Therefore, a
successful scholarship
candidate must be willing to accept the following
responsibilities in order to qualify and
further maintain his/her scholarship:
1. The candidate must be willing to take reasonable
care of any equipment provided by the
scholarship fund. The candidate must return any
Association owned equipment or
uniform at the conclusion of the season.
2. The candidate must be willing to demonstrate
good participation throughout the year.

- Qualifying scholarship candidates
will be provided the following if needed:
a. A
waiver of registration fees. Used shoes, gloves,
etc. may be provided, as they are
available. b. The Chairman will carefully
coordinate with the child's manager, coach or other
individuals aware of
the family's financial circumstances.

- Direct contributions may be made
to the Scholarship Fund. A contributor to the
general Scholarship Fund will receive a certificate of
thanks or other appropriate token of appreciation.
